I thought it couldn't get any worse...

And then I burned it.

Still debating if I should give it as a thank you...

"Thanks so much for all the hard work, I thought you might like a burnt pie."

Hey thanks for the shout out - and the compliment! The crust recipe varies, but when I bake it I place the rack in the middle, I paint milk over the outside crust and use a 4 inch strip of tin foil - shiny side in - formed to stick to the thin edges to avoid burning the edges. Then with about 10-15 minutes to go I take tin foil off and let the pie bake. When I do a berry pie, I bake the bottom crust ahead of time. Good luck with the next one. I'm sure this one still tastes delicious!
